Superglued clock fascia panel. All good again, was a nice clean break so glued no bother and is hidden from view once back together. Pleased with that as the new trim from OPC looks slightly different texture and colour and would have led to having to buy all the bits new. 99p for superglue was a cheaper option!!

Sorry to read that Richard, I'm in the same position as you....one door closes and another one opens as they say....the job market does seem a bit easier at the moment from my initial foray this week.

Good luck mate and keep your chin up.

Although that is actually a picture of opposite sides because I didn't do an actual "before" picture.

Some of you may be able to see my next challenge in the lower picture!

Yeah 4 hours, but worth it. Did you spot the frilly missing bit behind the shock absorber on the left?

I know, right? A 924 with rust. I don't understand either.

Re-fitted the door cards last night but realise they are beyond sensible repair. will have ot scour around for decent cards or do the rennlist repair.

Can't have the interior naked for a second club night tomorrow

Managed to modify the Belkin cassette adapter (recent fleabay purchase) so it works properly; half an hours careful modification of the moving parts with my trusty Dremel. Now I can play my MP3 in the Porsche whilst keeping the classic 80's cassette look.

I just wish Belkin sold goods fit for purpose out of the box!

Tracked down the source of the rattle from my rear suspension. This turned out to be the mounting nut for the arb drop-link where it bolts to the rear trailing arm. Nuts on Both sides had loosened sufficiently to allow the retaining washer to turn by hand!

A quick torque up and recheck of all the other fixings (which were fine). I've never had this problem before in the last seven years and 28000 miles so a little strange? I check the security of all suspension bolts on every service as well...

Had a spare afternoon so stripped the brakes down and cleaned out. What a state they were in , hadn't been touched for 2 years since complete rebuild. I had a slight vibration when braking hard from speed and a whine like a bearing shot at speed both gone now.The rear calipers had very tight pads and I think they were sticking. What a poor bit of engineering the sensors are 3 broke up on removal so wired them out - only 2 yrs old. No plate lift just very very dirty and built up muck !

This is misleading, as they are not plastic caps, but I have seen some models where they function as instrument lights.

The screws you need to remove are the vertical screws at the top inside the recesses. You will need a stubby screwdriver.
