Investigated broken central locking and passenger window, both fixed now and also moved the window switches to the centre console. Next up fitting remote central locking using a cheap eBay special!

Off to Canterbury for the night shortly so should give it another good long run

Tested my fuel guage a temperature gauges to eliminate them being faulty - both work - fuel sender must be the issue with the fiel gauge. Engine temp must be ok. Fixed the windscreen washers and the rear wiper. Tried to stop the rattle in the back hatch - failed due to seized hatch pins. Tried to change the wiper motor - failed due to the need to pull out the air box which would have been a major task and didn't have time. Fixed the glove box. Fixed the dash side trim.

Some tasks done. A few still to go. But progress at least.

Been to Lincoln and back on the new engine so it's nearly ready for its first oil change. This weekend will see it well over 500 miles.

Can't wait to have her run in properly I need to constantly remind myself to drive like a granny !

Good news that it's all back in one piece. Does that mean you'll be in it on Tuesday at the Whipping Stocks?

That's always good to know, by the way what would you do if it didn't, I used to have a Pug 405 which didn't seem to have a limiter, saw 8k revs a few times

Changed the drivers side electric window switch bezel, the one that was fitted looked like a combination of sticky tape and cable ties to sort of hold the switches in place

Rest of the day there's only one thing to do on a day like this, drive and enjoy ........

made Porsche Embossed door cards using the top from the embossed cards (with ruined bottoms) and the bottoms from my original door cards. A bit of careful cutting and joining together with copious amounts of glass fibre got the job done...on the hottest day of the year!

Yes, really pleased with the effect Alex. Looks better in the skin than in the photo's for once. :D
