While looking to replace the battery I came across this muck piled up under the wing battery compartment area.

Any ideas how it could have got there?
Anyone know what the correct bracket is to restrain the battery? Mine is a bolt with collection of oversixed washers.

Been very busy lately!!!! Removed my noisy aircon pump, changed the oil, filters, cap and rotar arm.

Replaced the headlight switch (lights wouldn't drop on off position) replaced the wiper switch and relay (no self park and no intermittent)

Replaced pump hose look at this beauty it was joined using metal pipe and jubilee clips.
The fan was rubbing on it causing the wear between the clips, made a hell of a noise too.

Next job replace snapped speedo cable

Had a great time joining the guys down in Brighton.

Drove back and opened the passenger window. Now the window won't shut so had door panel off but can't figure out the problem :?

Hi, your avatar says 944 lux but this is a 16V cam cover (very nicely done), has it had a S or S2 conversion ?

After buying the car as an non runner and then finally getting it running I discovered that I had no drive, after a fellow member donated some used clutch parts I finally had a go at sorting the problem.
Had an early start on it yesterday and although it was a bit of a fight doing it on a gravel drive with short axle stands and tiny trolley jack I'm pleased to say that the car is back together and down on its wheels for the first time in at least six months.
Even better it now moves under it's own steam
Got plenty more to do on it yet but at least it moves about now.

Replaced my original brake flexis with goodridge stainless braided items. Definitely got a firmer pedal now and a bit more bite in the brakes.

my 924 turbo project has been getting some attention and loving over the past few days! its amazing how clean this car really is! I had it up on a ramp and its immaculate! pretty much every bush/nut/bolt etc looks like new! new fuel lines, new brake pipes, literally no rust whatsoever, looks like the shell was also acid dipped when prepped as there isn't a patch of underseal underneath anywhere!

based on the condition of the car, and the fact its obviously had a full on nut and bolt rebuild when it was prepared for racing I have decided to keep it and do some track days in it and slowly get it how I want it.

jobs I have done over the last 2 days include, replacing the rear brake pads, replacing driver side front caliper due to broken bleed nipple. full brake fluid replacement for high temp superblue fluid, along with replacing the clutch fluid as it had very high water content (checked with special tool)

I have just ordered full service items, including 10/60 f/s mobil one oil, oil filter, fuel filter, cambelt, alternator belt, coolant, rotor arm and cap, spark plugs, so I will start carrying out full service over the next few days when I get time.

I have a full intercooler kit to fit, and I have just ordered some more rollcage padding to fit.

refitted the drivers bucket seat and got it as low as possible

adjusted handbrake up nice and tight

gave the interior a good clean up, and gave the rollcage a 2nd coat of yellow paint

removed the cambelt which took all of about 3 minutes lol!
also replaced the battery master cut off switch for a new fia one as the one fitted was a bit old and tired and the slightest knock would cause it to cut all power, not something I want happening at 100mph!

lots more to come, and will hopefully do a track day next month to test it out
