Lots of things seem to be progressing for people! Thats good to see - been a busy few weeks so just catching up now.

On Porsche news the Turbo is still soldiering on - girlfriend was using it for two weeks when her little GTI had exploded. Thankfully I have my car back now and she has a shiny X Type Jaguar to roar around in!

I managed to find on eBay some match front Koni Shock Inserts for the backs I did recently. New in a box with the instructions for a bargain price of £160 :) Now to find time to fit them.

Also finally twigged that Steve has the rear fuel tank strap I was kindly offered a while ago - thanks for picking that up and it moving along the country. It will be nice to remove my 'fixed' strap :)

Hope everyone is well!

This old girl is on the home straight ready for taxing the 1st June.

Belts rollers and pump have been replaced since I last posted and I bounced out of bed this morning armed with valeting goodies to make the most of the good weather. Interior tomorrow or Monday and I'll try and remember to take a photo or 10 before I put it back in the garage then.

The badge panel is slightly out on the colour and I'll be needing some sill work done in the winter, can anyone in my local area (Fareham/Portsmouth) recommend a good bodyshop?

Decided to keep the S2 so have replaced the steering uj shaft which had play at top, new transmission mount - old one was kn-------! and new driveshafts. What a transformation - brilliant ! At 177k they needed it, all origional parts. Also put Porsche decat pipe back on as the straight through pipe I had on was too noisy with a Dansk back section and also seemed to strangle the engine , now revs more freely.

Nick :D

As it was a nice day here in Suffolk, I took the 'red lady 'out for a drive for the second time after having her checked over and being serviced. She's been in store since November and have only just taken the covers off her. Today it will be clean up day ready for the club run out on Sunday (2nd June).

Went to a Transtar show yesterday with tipec at Ragley Hall, whilst there came across my old 944S still looking great, spoke to the owners partner who tells me the car may soon be for sale as he has bought a 924S and doesn't have room for both, now dilema dilema, do I sell the 911 and buy the '44 back or do I just let it go ? Unfortunately I don't have space for them both

The space can be reasonably easily solved if you have a car store with a vacancy near you. Having the time for 2 toys can be as much a deciding factor.

Im as big a 944 enthusiast as you will find anywhere - so much so that I even like the 944S! I wouldnt entertain selling a 915-911 for one though, not under any circumstances.

How did she shine up!? Can only dream of uncovering after winter! I finally gave mine a proper wash and polish after a brutal winters weather. Took some effort but its very shiny now. The bonnet was tricky (5 coats of Zymol then wax!)

Got my car back from it's annual Service (MEGA)/MOT/TLC at JMG 8 years since new blueprint engine was built (Dec 2005) so it's had lots of work eg Belts/rollers(2nd lot)/water pump, Head Gasket (for safety), Spark Plugs + Engine Mounts, Drive Shaft, Steering rack,+ other bits n bobs. oh & New Front Cross drilled Disks/Pads.
Talk about withdrawal symptons :( missed it terribly it's been there 8 weeks (didn't take that long to fix it just the Logistics of getting it back to Lincoln with Holidays & JMG Move in between) 245 miles and she's back in the Garage, Tipec SYNN Meeting tomorrow night for another shorter sortie. look forward to the next 7 years of ownership of this tastefully tweaked 944 Turbo, hope I can last as long as it does

Doing some work in the back of my 944 and coming to the conclusion these rear seats are not designed for average size humans.

Had a good day driving round the norfolk coastal road with the Anglian lads, good breakfast at Swaffham etc. An enjoyable day out.
