 Post subject: Polishers and sanders

Anyone tell me the difference in operation between a da sander and a da polisher? The basic machines look the same? A das6 sander looks awfully like a das6 sander!

Not sure I understand that lol. Dya mean 'a das6 sander looks awfully like a das6 polisher'? I must get something to polish / sand! (and a life)

Yes the dual action sanders look just like da polishers only sometimes cheaper!!

I would imagine a polisher would be geared down internally to spin slower, not sure though.

check the rpm data for each speed on the product data sheets if this is the same then bingo.

seriously though, yes they are the same - both Dual Action, i.e. minimise the risk of damage to your paint.

I'm about to rotary polish the Pana this weekend - it's a big un !
