Hello all

Hoping to get my first Porsche this week! I have wanted one for many years, my dad owned a few got his first must be 30 years ago now when i was lad and i have wanted one ever since. Found the forum after searching for Jon Mitchel Porsche, he is local to me and doing a PPI for me on Thursday. Hoping it all checks out as want to put it on his maintenance plan. Are any of you guys on that?

Hello and welcome to the forum, I understand the JMG plan is very popular as it allows an owner to spread the cost without unexpected bills landing on the mat! What is the car, and where are you? let us know how you get on, and come for your first drive out with TIPEC on Sunday, we are the Southern Region and have a full programme of events , club nights etc. and are based at The Angel , Longham.

I will PM you with details, hope to see you soon, and enjoy that car!! :D

Hi and welcome,
Lucky fella living near JMG I looked at the plan a few years back but do not do enough miles in this weekend toy and live too far away.
I do however have it serviced annually at JMG, in fact it's there for the next week or so getting some TLC.

The car is a 997 c2s, 05, arctic silver, ocean full leather, sports chrono plus, PSE although it is not adjustable at the moment and i am not totally sure if it is pse or just a sports exhaust as was not on original options list, been told it may of been modified to allow loud exhaust with smooth map?

Car is a bit tatty cosmetically which put me off at first but it drove very well, 78k miles, 3 owners, 1 opc service and 3 at Strasse, looks like recent discs and pads, pilot sports about 4mm ish, price is £22k.

I have talked the dealer into driving the car down from London area on Thursday for the inspection, if JMG say it does not need too much to get on the plan i will go for it.......although i have just been emailed from PH about a car for £23.5k 04-05 same colour 66k which is in exceptional condition :?

Hello & welcome! You are doing absolutely the right thing in going to Jon. He has been totally brilliant for me (it's complicated) and I'm not even on his plan (yet!). I would expect a list as long as your arm on the PPI but you'll be in the very best of hands!!!!!!!!!

Cheers for that. It will be interesting to see what's needed, at least if it is too much I can walk away if a deal can't be done :)

You were spot on Wazzer! The car had a 2 page list of faults.......i decided against it in the end just too much to swallow along with the cosmetic condition of the car, the total to sort all mechanical faults found was substantial.

I am back on the hunt, will have to spend a few quid more by the looks of it, trouble is it could still have all the same faults :?

Are you going to go on the plan?

Yeah, that's the intention - just the small matter of having to sort out a buggered engine elsewhere first. Good luck!
