I switched off my Dad's life support just over 3 years ago. Worst thing I ever had to do, anyone who has done that will know what I went through.

Dad left my brother and I nothing in his will - we knew he hadn't as everything was to go to Mum. When Mum goes what's left will pass to my brother and I.

Well I say nothing.....not quite nothing........my brother got a modest cheque.

I got a classic E36 320i BMW which my Dad had owned from new, 15 years old, 36,000 miles, full main dealer history. Even had the original cassette player still fitted! Showroom condition. Don't think it had ever been driven in the rain!

I'd rather still have my Dad and think of him every day, but that really was some car he left me......no idea of what he would make of me driving a Porsche. He'd probably say something like 'why didn't you buy a 5 series BMW.....?' :-)

I still sometimes go to ring my dad, weird really. We didn't think he had anything but apparently he went with a sense of humour intact, appears he was also capable of knowing just what his kids might want !!!!

Gordon, you bu99er, I seem to have a bit of grit in my eye....
Great to hear though & a cracking looking colour. Best colour interior as well, that cost its first owner a bloody fortune, on my 2000 car the steering wheel in savannah leather was £650+VAT!
