checked TIPEC discount list which states 25% with AA,phoned them this morning & they have never heard of TIPEC.

I never mention TIPEC when I phone them, just threaten to leave, typcially get a very good deal, on Breakdown Repair Cover as well.

Tried that & got £20 discount + free breakdown cover,but only slightly cheaper than best quote.......every little helps

I thought that's what the original poster was asking about. Not sure I'd use the AA for Porsche insurance - much better terms available elsewhere. When I got a Porsche quote off the AA for insurance last year they were off the scale......

It's 25% initial but I think 10% on renewal. Pretty sure it's even broken out on renewal document (not TIPEC specifically, but something like "affinity membership" or similar.

I still have no problems getting further reduction if they try to jack up breakdown costs, but feeling less combative this year as two callouts on rest of family "fleet". Wife was trailered from London to midlands when her pretensioners went off for no reason, and they rescued me when I had tyre disintegrate on horribly dangerous stretch of dual carriageway on freezing dark night. Good value with or without discount! Their systems and communication pretty slick too.

All this on lesser cars. Never a moment's trouble with the 928!
