Re: All Change Here
Well done Paul, they are great cars.
I was planning to drive with one of my sons for an extended holiday to our place in Turkey about 3 years ago, which we cancelled at the last moment due to a technicality with the car we were going to us and its paperwork for crossing the boarder into Turkey, it was registered in my wifes name, but she was not going to be with us (Arrgghh!)
Anyway, the trip out there we planned was to spend about 7 days driving there and taking in some sights on route, including Stuttgart, Stelvio pass, marinello, Rome, Pompe, crossing from Bari to Greece, Athens, into Istanbul, through Troy and to the apartment, then a week there followed by the journey back over a week via a more northern route through bulgaria, Poland, Berlin, hamburg, nurburgring, and then back home. Really must get round to it someday.
I imagine in the Panamera it would be one comfortable and fun journey, combined with very reasonable fuel economy.

Re: All Change Here
interestingly, I'm getting 28-30 mpg out of the 4s in general mixed driving - far better than I imagined.
Paul - don't know if you notice this, but when I've borrowed diesel panameras previously, they always seam really easy to get the back end out if the road is wet or greasy;
the torque delivery seems brutal from really low revs!
don't have this issue in the 4s, as it shoves the torque to the wheels with grip if one is slipping first, before cutting in psm.

I must say, I'm blown away by the Panamera. I know I'm still in the honeymoon period but I'm already smitten with it.

Re: All Change Here
1200 miles done now, I'm really enjoying the car.
Already done Offside rear at Ben's School! Minor scrape you can only see when cleaning so shouldn't worry me overly!DavidWH wrote:BTW - watch those wheels - had them on the KN in 21" guise - they seem to be kerb magnets, and are made out of cheese....
I went to Worthing today, a 200 mile round trip. Peak MPG was 52.6, average 46.6 with just under mph average speed. Impressive. I'm generally getting 38-40 on B road commute and 43 on runs.lindsayhbrown wrote:Congrats, looks lovely, but I will throw down the gauntlet, a friend of mine has a pana diesel and is getting just north of 45 mpg, he does a lot of motorway driving tho', lets see what you can get
Nice trip, I'm seriously looking into it, not sure on which route and how much time to take over it yet though.jmgarage wrote:Well done Paul, they are great cars.
