There's a place called Shit in Iraq too I think, only for some reason google doesn't seem to equate 'Shit' with being a place when searched with 'Iraq'

that reminds me of some other stupid sayings....

when i was about 4, my mom was dragging me off somewhere, when i asked where we were going she replied "timbuktu".

it was years before i got an atlas and discovered that timbuktu isn't actually anywhere near redditch

but this is the best....

we weren't allowed to swear in our house (obviously to fuckin' posh) but if my mom and dad were ever arguing my mom would regularly come out with "bugger me seven times" which is clearly far worse than anything you ever heard in the school playground.
