Hi all,
HAve the battery, but can't put it in as cannot get into the boot.
Lock is solid and electric release is not working (managed to reach in and attach jump leads)
Just wanted to check you pull up the boot release to make it work?
Also - does anyone know if I manage to get into the boot (car still wedged in garage) will I be able to release the boot lid from inside?
I am looking at having to get a locksmith in the way things are going

Also - tried to start it and the whole car started to vibrate and did not seem to turn over.
Thanks
Regards
Paul
Hi Paul

You SURE you are using the correct key for the boot ???
Never tried to release my lock from inside, but I think you will have to remove the lower trim from the hatch, and i am not sure if thats possible with the hatch down without damaging the trim....
Hmmm thought a bit more about this....
Remove the tool kit (2 round knobs you twist) which is on the rear of the carpeted cross panel......and then you should be able to see the small lock linkage rod that is usually electrically powered...you should be able to pull it with pliers to release the lock....
Yes the pull is PULLED UPWARDS...and if you get someone to put their ear by the lock , they SHOULD hear a whirring noise, then a click as it releases...it only releases the lock and the hatch ONLY moves upwards by around 1/4 of an inch, you then lift it manually.....DO NOT expect it to rise upwards lol....
All the best Brett
