Hi iv had a quote for 600-700 would it be worth getting the engine mounts changed as well?
This is just for chain tensioner pads and chain, engine seal and replace just the cam belts and balance belt.
The pump and rollers were all replaced with the 1st cambelt change.
Jim when you say do it yourself, don't you need a tool for the belts? Engine lift to get to seals? I really don't know. I've got a Haynes manual. But that's about it.
Haynes manual is crap, covers a very early US spec 944!
Download the full pork one from here
http://www.promaxmotorsport.com/All you really need is a flywheel locking tool & a Krikit belt tension gauge. Available from Arnworx & do a google for the Krikit gauge. One on fleabay for 99p 220624700274
Just about to use mine when work quietens down otherwise you could borrow mine. You may need a puller to get the pulleys off to do the seals but they are 15-25 quid from Halfords.
Engine mounts are fiddly but can be done yourself. I bottled it & got Northways to do mine as mine was a daily driver at the time.
