Anyhoo. This past 2 weeks has been spent recovering from lurgy. Though I did have the good sense err... 'fortune' to have it jacked up on axle stands before the lurgy hit.
Have been coughing up deep green stuff of a rubbery consistency. It must have potential attributes of a mechanical application.
This meant that I could pop out now and again doing stuff on the Porker. Like adjusting the tail gate lock and replacing the little inserts at the back of the rear hatch locks. Ordered from Germany on Monday, arrived yesterday! It was up in the air to reconcile rattles. I came across lots of potential suspects. Whether it's made a difference on our beautiful 3rd world roads, remains to be seen. Today will be the day. Good excuse for coffee and cake in a far away town where I can quietly ogle that waitress.
No doubt, the first pothole will test the rear hatch - traditionally popping up on the RHS. Also, the LHS pin rattled.
Remembered I had a spare rotor arm connector piece. No part number. Page 334 of the PET catalogue. Available only as a complete unit (with rotor arm) for a measly £379 direct from Porsche. Ordered a rotor arm and listed it on fleabay. Whilst looking for a rear hatch key barrel return spring in amongst the spares boxes., came across a second connector piece. Kerching!! That'll pay for stuff.
