Last night was the first time I have driven my car in the dark, on the way home from the SELNEK club night in Kent. I think I have some bulbs out in the centre console where the gear shift is.
There are the switches for the sunroof, mirrors, central loking etc... The central locking switch with the key symbol illuminates when the lights are on, but the others do not. Before I go messing about, should they all be illuminated? - no reference to these others in being lit up in the owners manual.
The electric window swithes on the doors also have no illumination in the dark - is that normal?
Ash tray light is out, but I can see the bulb has blown for that.

Re: S2 In The Dark
None of the switches you mention have lights in them, so you have no faults... except for the ashtray bulb.
