Foreign Travel and breakdown cover

Don't know if this is the right section to post this but here goes.
We are off to the Le Mans Classic in a little over a weeks time. I telephoned the RAC (my breakdown cover is with them) and got them to extend my cover to include this foreign trip. I advised them of the car's age (30 years!).
Reading the small print on the policy, it says that in the event of not being able to fix the car in France, they will repatriate it to the uK but only to the extent that the cost does not exceed the car's value as per Glasses Guide.
I have just checked on Glasses guide website and it only values cars up to 16 years old. Do you think that I will be covered, or will they say that the car is not valuable enough?
I suspect that the cost to get the car back to the UK would be of the order of £1,000 (don't know for certain, just a gut feeling).
Anyone got any thoughts?
Thanks
