East Midlands region are having a Peak District drive out on 25th April.

The idea is to meet at Trowell Services at/about 09:30 and drive off into the Peaks for some sight seeing.

At about half way, we will stop for a pub lunch, then head back stopping off at a beauty spot on the way.
We will then leave here and go back to the organiser's house for nibbles and a drink. Total driving time is about 2 hours.

This event is open to any member who wants to join us. However, in order to get an idea for catering, and to pre-book the pub lunch (as they tend to get terribly busy), then please advise me if you intend to come along.

The more the merrier, and anyone joining us will be made most welcome.

Hope to see you there.

Graham,

You must have added a couple of turbos!!!!

It's an all day drive, about 5 hrs driving plus stops so about 7.5 hrs all in I estimate, I did most of it last Sunday

Sorry!!! I added it up off the maps, maybe you popped the "emulate this drive" as being a 997, and not my poor old SC.

I stand corrected guys.

It's an all day job, maybe Graham can pm you the route, I sent it to him in google maps not a fast route but interesting, if it's too far you can always bow out and run for home early.

Chance of a dip in the sea in the peak district? ..............I suppose we could hire a boat at Carsington Water!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd like to post my vote of thanks to John and Shirley for organising a wonderful day out. OK, OK weather wasn't fab (for top down driving), but guess who had the only car with no convertibility or sunroof......me.

Lovely jaunt in the brand new Cayman. Lovely roads, nice pub lunch, and even some "Road closed" signs to negotiate around!!

All followed by tea at John/Shirley's.

Thanks guys !!!! :D
