Iv gotten in a long thread about putting bigger wheels on a '44 and wondered if it might be a good subject for an All Torque article. Maybe something as specific as how to sort out my tram-lining on my '44 with bigger rims or a wider thing on effects of geometry adjustments. I'm not a track day fiend, more keen on making the car easy to chuck about, so it might not interest someone who's interested in scrubbing seconds of lap times. Just a thought.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Are you interested in having a bash at writing a piece up yourself about what you’ve learned (or are still learning)?

I think articles like that are a really useful starting point for other club members—sharing our knowledge is one of the things a car club should be all about, I reckon.

We have a good article on basic detailing and concours preparation coming up in the April issue, for instance. Something on geometry would definitely be valuable to a lot of members. A piece on tyre choice would be nice to have one day, something on oils, and so on. I would really like it if All Torque could eventually build into a useful reference library, even if it’s only one basic article at a time. As the archive of downloadable back issues slowly builds up on tipec.net, those sort of how-to articles will always be available to look back at.

Funnily enough it was on my list of articles to write when I get a second.
Setting up your own geometry is something you can do yourself & I was going to cover that.
