In keeping with a (now) annual tradition, the East Midlands Not the Boxing Day drive is scheduled for 27th December.

This year's drive is being organised by Chris and Kathy Belfield.

Details are:

Date: Sunday 27th December
Time: 10:45 meet, leaving at 11:15
Place: Ferrers Gallery, Staunton Harold, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, LE65 1RU

There is plenty of parking in the garden centre, but meet across the road at the Ferrers Centre. We will pop off for a drive around where there will be 2 photo opportunities (Chris won’t tell me where!), a country pub, more driving then back to Chris and Kathy’s for some food/drink.

Please note: THERE IS NO NEED TO BRING ANY FOOD – all will be provided (drink is always welcome though). However, in order that the catering runs smoothly, would those wishing to attend please inform myself or Chris/Kathy directly. Either PM myself, or I'll PM Chris' e-mail address if required.

Hopefully see you there. The roads will be quiet and we’ll have a Porsche convoy to behold.

It's a shame this isn't on Boxing day or we would have pitched up. :(

Unfortunately I have to work on the 27th, one of the few Sundays I will have worked in 2009.

Have a great day, will you all go the same way this year

Sorry you won't be there Sean. I guess we figured that most people still have family stuff on Boxing Day, or recovering from the excesses of the previous day, or bruises form those ineveitable family get togethers,
As for going the same way..............cheeky bu99er

Some work on Sunday (Sean) and some don't. I've let Chris/Kathy know of your attendance. If you change your mind about the food (the rest of us are going), then just let me know and I'll pass it on.

See you there

My Thanks firstly to Chris and Kathy for the warm welcome at the starting point... nothing like a smiling welcome to know your in the correct place :D
Then to all those attending including Graham for continuing that welcome to myself and my wife.

We thoroughly enjoyed are drive out and sightseeing tour, taking in places that we have driven past before but never had the chance to actually visit.

It was an absolute pleasure to have you there and to meet you both. I'm really pleased you enjoyed the drive, and it was nice to see you back for food too.
Hopefully, see you at the next club night (Tuesday 19th January), and now you know who we are I'm sure you'll join us for food and/or drinks.

Take care, and have a wonderful and healthy 2010.

Yes, its always easier the second time...
I had met quite a few of you at other shows and meets, but I have the worst memory :(

I'll try and make the 19th :D
