… Or are prices really starting to drop this low?

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1401096.htm

1998 996 C2S with GT3 bodykit for £8,000. Registered Cat D in 2004, but repaired. Full PC service history and a fresh MOT.

I’m amazed at the price, but could it be the start of a trend, like the sub-£6k Boxsters that are popping up now they’re beginning to age?

If it is genuine it has to be worth a look for that money.

High mileage, but still …

I always figure that once you start to see the high mileage and/or ex-CatD cars drop to this sort of price level then you’ll probably see a lot more hit the same price range a few months later.
