Rain-X Don't Use

Ever since putting Rain-X on my windscreen the wipers have been beginning to struggle. It is like the windscreen has become too dry! The wipers vibrate across the screen and no longer go in a nice smooth motion, I can see the rubber blade being dragged across the screen. Worst still sometimes on the lowest wiper setting they won't move at all, I need to spray with the washer and then they will work properly for a while. Perhaps my wipers are packing in, but funny how it happened immediately after using rain-x. I have washed the car but the rain-x is still there, any ideas how to get it off. I have my MOT due next month so I guess it could fail because of this.

Big debate on using Rain X on PH, as they sponsor Brake. Lots of people mailed Rain X & said that they'd stop buying the product because of the Brake sponsorship. Also the product that wins the tests is not Rain X it is another!

Brake is a charity that supposedly helps accident victims. It appears to be a political lobbying group with some very anti motorist views & some that are patently looney TBH. If ever there was a group that shouldn't be a charity this is it in my view.
They sing one tune "Reduce speed limits" To the point where they could see nothing wrong with the stupid woman who got nicked by the police for doing around 10-20MPH on the motorway
The winner was Aquapel as being better than Rain X

Hi, I don't know about rainex, but I am having the same problems with the wipers on my S2. At the moment I have diagnosed that the controls need replacing but am investigating further. This suddenly happened when the control lever got a bit floppy and often won't work on the first setting but always on intermittent and power wash.
I will let you know when I have the solution.
Regards
Steve

Interesting as I also have an issue with my wipers. Car was stood for a while and I bought it so never had them working well myself, but painfully slow. Any ideas where to start?
Perhaps I have lots of Rain-X on the windscreen?!

Pop rock. Stop buying the stuff!!! Or maybe we should all join Brake & change it's name to SPEED.

Lobby for a minimum limit on the motorway. Improved driver training instead of fixed limits etc. I often have a Q behind me going past schools at leaving time as 20 can be too fast when theres kids running out everywhere. I see people who are unsafe at 30 these days.

Wow, controversial topic! I bought some nail polish remover as it contains acetone. I got a few funny stares whilst I was rummaging around the hand & nail section in Boots. I read this might remove it. I will try a small patch first.
