Hi Russ
I have a 1990 964, garaged and limited to 10K miles per year (I know thats not much of a limit but it alloys me to play) and I'm 36. I'm with Lancaster and it cost about £380 fully comp with no no claims (they don't take any notice of no claims bonus anyway when it's a fixed sum on classic insurance).
I've looked around and can't find anyone that will insure my car for that distance on a classic insure for that figure. I've insured it with them twice now.

Iam 29 live in stockport, the car is used once a week and lives on my drive. 7 years ncb, no points or claims.
Cheapest so far is £700, but thats not with any mods. With the lowering kit ect, more like £1100.
And the cars got a tracker and cat-1 alarm.
Paid £1100 last year need to get it cheaper.
"fury" ill try lancaster tomoz thanks, allso is your 64 modified?

I've changed the wheels and indicators, put a cup pipe on the back and taken the CAT out but other than that, no.

My 1986 3.2 Super Sport is insured with Carole Nash on a classic policy costing me £210. Can only do 5000 miles but thats fine with me. It includes european breakdown cover. Car garaged in Solihull. I'm 41 and Mrs C can drive it aswell (never does - she hates the thing! Thats fine with me aswell!!)
Make a few calls to people like RH specialsts, Heritage, etc as well. Loyalty went out the window years ago so we all have to ring round each year. Ball ache but worth it
Good luck

Mines with A One the clubs insurers, just renewed with them as the quote sounded reasonable & didn't have the time to shop around.
One thing to watch is that most classic policies demand that the car is garaged overnight, mine isn't and this caused hassle when I was looking last time.

In my case (47 years young, one SP30, full NCB, up to 7000 miles a year, garaged in a greater London postcode) Adrian Flux was the cheapest for my 911 - at £350 fully comp with European cover etc.
