944s2 running problems

Just after a little advice if at all possible. I have a 1991 944 S2 Cabrio, and have recently had a full service, put on a new fuel pump and tank sender unit, the car can be difficult to start, sometimes will tickover erractically but more importantly sometimes will run like a pig, feel like it's losing all power and choking up then take off like a scalded cat....any suggestions...it's been driving my up the wall. many thanks in advance.
