Hi - i'm just about to order a Blaupunkt Buenos Airies and IC109 speakers (for front and back)

The aim was to get something fairly inexpensive and bling free. Currently i have some awful double din eclipse disco fitted with front speakers that dont work and strange rears with no grills.

Will my choices fit, is it any good and should i be ordering or preparing anything else? do these cars have amplifiers and where is it?

If you could put up with the looks (I am not mega keen on them) I would say to keep with the Eclipse unit tbh! Pretty good SQ from those.

As for your speakers I'd try them first. Not what I normally suggest (other way around) but the Eclipse HUs are very underrated, but designed by Japanese people for the Japanese...

Nakamichi is another option, but they are somewhat tempremental.

If you want another HU with matching SQ I'd be looking at the Beckers TBH like a secondhand Mexico Pro (either 47 or 79 series) or a Traffic Pro.
