I am off to Wales tomorrow for a final recce on the chosen hotel for this year's WOTY.

Will take a look at the rooms and have a bite to eat so I know everything will be ok for us later in the year. I'm expecting to tie up the final details over the next week or two so watch this space for details :D

Have a safe journey Paul. I know you'll pick a good 'un anyway. We are looking forward to the WOTY as per usual.

Thanks for your hard work. :thumbright:

Weekend Of The Year..............

We go away (WAG's too), for a rather nie two-night stay in a rather nice hotel. Evening meals together, with free days and some nice countryside runs in the cars.

This year is in Wales (for Central and East Midlands), and will be the first weekend in October, Friday 2nd - Sunday 3rd.
Cost is kept down, and I can soooo recommend it. After I joined, we did Cumbria in 2007, then Leeds in 2008.

Weather was good but too many Police about. Oswestry By-Pass, M54 and A5 near Shrewsbury.

Hotel scouting was ok - narrowed it down and about to make a final choice for October :D

Fantastic, fantastic weekend. Those who chose not to go, well you missed out on something very special.

Thanks to Paul et al. for organising the weekend, excellent venue, excellent roads, and we must have got 60mph out of the old girl on the Evo Triangle - that being the speed limit of course

Brilliant part of the country to drive, sweeping roads in a Porsche.

A selection of our cars in front of the hotel, and at Pandarosa's on the Horseshoe Pass:

Many thanks for great weekend away Paul. Enjoyed the Hotel & food. Had a good run out on the Saturday apart from the slow drivers in front?
Also enjoyed power sliding the 928 on the Black Rock beech but did have to power wash off the sand later. Looking forward to next years events?

Regards
John & Pat Oakes
