Hi Folks
If you have booked up for the Race Retro show at Stoneleigh tomorrow (or are planning to come along and pay on the gate) we will meet up as usual to drive down together.
Meet from 9am at Hopwood Services (J2 M42) with a view to depart at 9.20am. We are leaving a little earlier than originally planned just in case there is a lot of traffic when we get near the venue.
Once there you can stay with us or head off on your own as you wish but its nice to meet up and travel in together.
See you there!
Paul

This was a fantastic show - easy to become blase about the sheer number of historically important (and beautiful) cars on show, not to mention books, tools, bits, models...
Was there till they were packing up and could have done with a few hours more even then.
Apologies again Paul & Derek for not guiding you to the VIP entrance to which you are accustomed!
Despite this being an indoor event, I think the spring sunshine augurs well for events to come.

Hi
We thought you would be there until the bitter end sorting through the nuts , bolts, washers and other bits and pieces
Glad you enjoyed it
Me, I enjoyed seeing the historic Group B rally cars giving it a blast. Wish I could have experienced it. Had to make do with the smell of racing oil and engines popping on the overrun!

I'm pleased you had a good day, I thought it was a bit mean to put the autojumble in the smelly cattle sheds.
I had mixed thoughts about the show after visiting on Friday. I left feeling disappointed as it had taken me just a few hours to walk the 4 halls and there were no live events to pad the day out.
After looking through numerous photo's I had taken, I realized that it wasn't the show it was my expectations.
Considering most of the cars on display actually race in their respective series, the condition of them was stunning.
I will be back next year.

Ummm good pics Sean. The Ecurie Ecosse transporter brings back memories of a Dinky or Corgi model when I was around 7-8. I think it was a Xmas Pressie, looked fantastic in Metallic blue with working steering & ramp.
