Hi All,
The passenger seat in my '85 oval-dash 944 Lux has ' failed ', in that it will not now tip forward when the lever on the side is lifted.
Can anyone tell me what has gone wrong, and how I need to go about fixing the problem ?
Thanks in anticipation.

From memory, the levers on the side move a cable which releases a latch in the base of the upright. I think you can pop the cover off the lever which then enables access to the gubbins.
Not got access to the books at the mo, try having a look at clarkes garage or pelican to see if they cover it.

I need to take a look at this too … the passenger side seat in my Turbo has started to get a bit temperamental. Feels as though the cable from one side or the other has come adrift: tipping the seat relies on lifting both side levers at once.

Thanks guys ! Will investigate using what you've said, and hopefully I can fix the thing myself.
I've been a member for just over a year now, and the wife and I have regularly attended the Cornwall & Devon monthly meets, organised by our excellent RO, Steve Switzer. The West Country is a far-flung region and it is hard sometimes to get folks to come along due to the longish distances involved even if the meet is held centrally. We do our best though !

Does the lever on your passenger seat feel as though it should be working, or does it feel ‘loose’?

It starts to move but then it just wont go any further. It feels like there is something blocking its travel - something hard. Not a loose feeling at all.
