Porsche 944 rear brake lines question (T piece)

Post by Austin09 »

Hi all

I’m in the process of refinishing my brakes - all new calipers, flexi hoses and lines.

I’m quite well progressed and will post photos and a write up when I get there but for now need some advice on the T piece.

The rear brakes are fed by a pipe from the front, and join a t piece which then splits off to each caliper. I need to replace the line to the front, the line over the torque tube to the left caliper set up and the right caliper.
For good order I’ll change the t piece too.

I’ve looked at the parts diagram and the t piece looks to be held in with a bolt, but mine looks to be a stud with a nut on, perhaps someone snapped in the past or perhaps this is how it was for my car (87 turbo)

Anyway enough rambling….

Has anyone relocated their t piece (access is limited so would save pain when reassembling)
Can anyone confirm the original set up was with a bolt?
