944 2.7 Foot Well Heating (1989)

So the heating system on my car has always been pretty good, still is. All the buttons on the Havac seem to respond OK. Except, I can't get heat in the footwell. Face and Windscreen are fine. Hot/Cold are fine. Recirculation (vent flaps in engine bay vacuum open and close) works fine. Fan speed works fine. Car not fitted with AC option.

Just can't get heat to my feet!!!

Any pointers?

Usual failure mode is broken plastic clips but that fails to full heat.
