hi, this is my first post/question so be gentle, my 928 1983 4.7 auto, what is the likely suspect for no working speedo ? simple i hope

There are a number of possibilities including failures on the Speedo circuit board or even the Speedo itself. If it’s simple it will be a connector/wire failure all the way from the sender mounted on rear diff, through connectors in spare wheel well all the way to the CE panel plugs and finally the instrument pod connectors (check none are bent) and rivets connecting Speedo terminals to circuit board in pod. Need to follow this chain methodically. Do you have wiring diagram for your year and the instruments?
