924 turbo synchro fix

Hi there
i have taken some photos of the fix but can't figure out how to post them here
but the principle is simple.
my problem was that on my 1982 924 turbo, i had no synchro on first gear but it was staying in gear perfectly
on inspecting it it was obvious that the dogs were stopping the synchro ring springing out far enough
i measured the synchro ring at 85.4mm then i removed the large cir clip and the synchro ring sprang out to 87.5mm so i simply ground away the lower part of the synchro ring that was interfering with the dogs on a bench grinder, then put it back together and it then measured 86mm
after some new seals and oil the gearbox is working perfectly
I'm happy to email the photos if this is of any help to anyone
cheers Pete
