Man, I wish I was there. Awesome pics, MJB. Especially the old timers.

I didn't manage to get myself to the Donington Historic Festival last year, is it worth going?
Based on the photos I'd say yes but can you tell me a bit more about your experience? Quite the drive for me (so that's always a plus!)
Thanks for any feedback!

Yes, I'd say that it's worth a visit, especially as the circuit offers some interesting viewing in comparison with flat ex-airfield tracks. Nothing like as big as the Silverstone Classic in any respect and for me that is a plus, with fewer people, queues and irrelevant stalls! I've always been surprised that it hasn't grown, but as so many great events become a victim of their own success that is probably a good thing. A bit of exploring beyond the paddock will reveal the remnants of the original pre-war circuit too, where the mighty Auto Union grand prix cars (originally a Dr Porsche design) once raced.

We have a stand there again this year, the details on how to book the club discounted tickets will be in the next issue of All Torque.
Thanks for sharing the photos.

Thanks for the feedback! Might get myself over there this year, I actually like the 'irrelevant stalls' that you are talking about. Kinda interesting to see what's happening at Donington, especially after the museum shut down!
