Help Needed :: Interior Glue Removal

Afternoon Folks,

Having worked extensively on the Mechanical and Structural aspects of my Life of Neglect 993, I have decided to move things inside and strip out the old Glue that, once upon a time, held the Carpet in place but that now simply held the backing foam down.

I had a go at the Weekend with Acetone, Nitromors [the new Formula] and some specialist Glue Remover, each with varying degrees of failure.

Can someone on here help me out with how best this can be done?

Which Product/Solvent did you use?
What method did you use?
How long did it take?
Do you have any photos of before/after?

I intend to do this myself, but if anyone absolutely knows someone who will do the Job for a fee, then please also let me know..

Tardis - spray it on and leave for a few minutes then agitate with a nail brush
Petrol - As above
Steam - May soften the glue enough for the above to work

Go to your local bodyshop supplies paint place & get a "Toffee" wheel they come under various names but they'll know what you mean. That in power drill or a grinder will clean it off. It is what the trade uses.
