Hi all,
To all South Central members, you should have tonight received an email from yours truly. I have been asked to be RO for the area, and keen to see it become active again, I accepted.
Please check your inbox and if you haven't received anything please let me know via PM on here and we will see if we can resolve.
There are some immediate issues to resolve regarding the locations and frequency of the regional meetings, so please take the time check your email.
Many thanks, Gary

Good luck in the new role.
South Central used to be a thriving region, I am sure it can be again.
The drinks are expensive but Whittlebury Hall Hotel, wasn't a bad venue. We met there for a while back in the day, nice and central.
Give us a call anytime, happy to help.

I'm only just down the road so depending upon which nights you're doing and the meet location will pop up for a drink.

I think this is going to be the closest for Peterborough without a west anglia region.

A43 near Silverstone, we used it for the region years ago. It became itoo busy to have decent meetings there with everyone in travelodge coming over for dinner.

Worth another look? It was the access from all bits of the region.

Definitely not, they are clueless in there. We stopped for a quick sandwich a few months ago. Place was empty we explained that all we wanted was a sandwich and please be quick. 45 minutes later......

I will take a look around that area for alternatives and see what materialises.
I have also asked for options via the emails sent out so that method can be used for suggestions as well

We can have a chat whilst we are at Silverstone.
Towcester is pretty much the natural centre of the region, it's a shame that the regions have also collapsed around that area.
The gap between active regions is in that part of the world is vast and unless willing volunteers come forward to start regions we are snookered.
As it stands South Central fills the gap between North London/South Yorks North Derbyshire in the East and Central/Thames Valley to the West.
Ideally we need to kick start East Midlands and a region bridging the gap to Anglia.

Any SC members, or anyone for that matter, there is a new Car Meet (2nd month)
The Chequers
Ampthill Road
Houghton Conquest
MK45 3JP
65 cars last month, all marques, so if you're at a loose end, let's get some Porsche attendance.
Starts at 7pm 14th July 2016
Cheers Gary
