Hi Folks

After much work on Brian's part the details have finally been agreed with the Museum for next saturdays visit and here they are:
Date - Saturday 13th September 2008
Time - 1100 hours to 1600 hours
Museum Visit - free of Charge
Convoy Details - Meet adjacent to Shirley's Garage, Main Road, Meriden from 1000 hours onwards (please do not obstruct garage), for departure at 1030 hours. Shirley's is an independent Porsche dealership.

Notes - this event is open to all TIPEC members on a first come first accepted basis. Numbers are limited & cars are expected to be on site for the full duration of the event unless escorted from site (condition of the museum for safety reasons). Millennium Place is a pedestrianised area for museum access.
Drivers please need to bring along cloths / paper towels to clean up any oil loss / spillage to maximise pedestrian safety. TIPEC and its members will be under a 'duty of care' for this event (Coventry City Council / museum requirement).

If you wish to attend please send an e-mail to Brian at mymerak@aol.com. Brian will then confirm within 24 hours if you have a place subject to availability.
If you have any queries regarding this event, please email Brian - mymerak@aol.com For more information about the museum and location go to http://www.transport-museum.com

As this is a FREEBIE we're expecting a full turnout so please get in touch quickly to save yourself a spot. Brian & Paul

This is a great museum and worth visiting just to see Thrust 2 as well as all the other exhibits.

Totally agree - it was a good event. I'm just sorry I had to dash off early and didn't have time to really enjoy the museum properly and chat to everyone.
:(

See you all soon

It was great to see a 356A cabby next to a RS60

50 years apart and about 50 inches apart, unique!

A fabulous museum now that it has been renovated and lots to see and do for the young and the more mature petrolhead

Most of the members who went around the museum spent over three and a half hours in there and still didn't get to see everything

Yes thanks very much for organising Brian. Me and my boys are regulars at the museum and we had a great day, so must have been fantastic for anyone new to the museum. Max also enjoyed getting to push the 911 to start it...

Nice pix Paul. When I finish (start!) the write-up maybe we can send all our originals to the editor to choose a selection?
