Oil Tank for 1968 SWB 911L

My oil tank leaks a bit when hot. Tried unsuccessfully to seal with Araldite Steel.
Have found oil tank from 1989, 3.2l 911 and wondered if this would fit easily. I know it would need oil breather hole blanking. Would sender be compatible too?
