Hi

Former member now living in France hoping someone can nudge me in the right direction re. Bi-Xenon headlights. Due to pick up 06 997 3.6 in three weeks in the UK. Bi-Xenon lights which of course will have to be changed for European driving. I have had some conflicting advice with one suggestion they can be re-programmed for Europe?

Ayone any knowledge on this - or suggestions. I would be very grateful. Monsieur le Porsche here in Lyon is an expensive chap who would simply replace the lights!

Merci in advance

Paul

The lights have a switch at the back of each unit accessed by removing the unit and then the back cover, a bit of a fuss in the 997.

I'm pretty sure that this makes it legal in France but will not be the optimum setting and therefore be units will be required I.e. the lights will not be perfectly dipped to the nearside road edge.

996 was easy with clips 997 a ball ache involving screwdrivers, the lamp unit is also much more difficult to remove.
