Removing stubborn white specs

A relative of mine has got tiny white specs of what looks like paint which is just refusing to come off, seems more silicon like. It's on the bonnet and windscreen. They won't scratch off with a nail even on the screen so seem very tough material. I've tried some Autoglym products I had namely paint renovator, tar remover and clay bar but all have failed to budge even one spot. The clay bar seemed to wear it down but the specs would not disappear completely. Any idea of a product we could use to dissolve stubborn marks as the clay bar is going to take days of elbow grease.

Have you tried nail varnish remover?, I've had success with some stubborn marks on the 968's bodywork with the stuff, (just don't tell her indoors that you've borrowed her stuff! )

Now there's an idea  I'll try it on the glass first and see if it dissolves the little blighters. With 2 daughters there's plenty of the stuff lying around

Cheers

You could try petrol also? If really brave use some 2000 - 3000 grit wet and dry paper after an overnight soak, then polish after. You would need something with a bit of cut in the polish not an off the shelf one such as Meguairs etc.
