St Georges Day Run.

Post by 944BLOKE »

The SYNN group had a run today from St Georges church Doncaster to Elsecar Heritage Centre near Barnsley.Paul&Judy had arranged for us to join in this run organised by The Traditional Car Club of Doncaster whose members expressed their sympathies at the loss of our friends. Cars from every decade from 1900 onwards took part and all were well presented and shiny even if a bit wet as it drizzled just about all day. All the cars were parked up and we dived into the cafe to get warm and dry, then had a look round the various craft shops and antique/junk shops before assembling to see Dennis collect 1st prize for his beautiful 356. We had two 944s two 993s one Boxster, a new member in a 930 ,the 356 and Alan from East Mids group joined us in his 944s2 . It was nice for the gang to get together and have a good chat despite the weather and absent friends.

Excellent, good to get out and about on the meets after what's happened. I'm sure that's exactly what Paul and Judy would have wanted.
