East Midlands "Not the Boxing Day Drive"

Again this year, we are having our annual East Midlands Not the Boxing Day drive. This is scheduled for Tuesday 28th December, which is indeed, not Boxing Day. (Please note change of date from previously notified due to logisticsal reasons).

Unfortunately, details are yet to be finalised, but is being organised by Kathy Belfield and Kerry Fisher.

It is likely that we will meet up at Tom/Kerry's house, for a jaunt around Staffordshire and conclude at Chris/Kathy's for post-drive nibbles.

For those wishing to attend, please keep the date free in your diaries and I will issue details (including meeting points) on request once known. If you could let me know if you wish to attend so catering can be provided.

Those of you that have been before know this is an event not to be missed. Although due to excesses of Christmas, do expect fuel efficiency to be lower than usual.

Looking like a popular event already - see you there!

No trouble, will keep me eyes peeled. And you keep your eyes out for our convoy of Porsches - looks like a good one again.

Hi Graham,
Have you seen the weather forecast?
A LOT OF SNOWFALL OVERNIGHT!!!!!!
Upside is they think it will clear quickly - but could be a bit tricky (depending on the route).
Presume you will call to confirm what's happening.

I've got "Light snow, minimum zero degrees overnight, with drizzle and 2 degrees tomorrow" (according to BBC website)

Its been predicting snow for the last 2 days...

So then John, where was that 8 inches you promised me last night?

Needless to say, we had a fantastic day amongst friends. Thanks to Tom/Kerry for hosting the start (bacon butties/coffee) and route maps and Chris/Kathy for post-drive nibbles.

I'm sure the scenery was fantastic, but I think the fog may have covered it up a bit. Some lovely hedgerows though. And being faced with a 4x4 on its roof was a bit of a surprise too.

Lovely day, and we'll do it again sometime - maybe not on Boxing Day next year, eh?

 First of all I didn't promise 8", that was Des on Central TV! I'm told it happened overnight but disappeared by the morning!

Great day-
Thanks to Tom and Kerry for their hospitality and a well organised and interesting run out.
Thanks to Chris and Kathy for the French cheeses, nibbles and Wine.
