Can never be driven. It's too cleanWaylander wrote:Shame you have to fill it with oil and run it
Looks like it should be in a display case
Well when I started thus I had no automotive knowledge, I have never serviced a car never changed the oil and had no tools and no garage, but there are so many good guides on the Internet and loads of helpfull people on here that give good advise it was really quite easy, I still have very limited knowledge but most of the work I do is cleaning painting and repairing.Digi944 wrote:I'd love to do this but I'd guarantee i'll find a car which has a duff engine, spend all the time rebuilding it and find it's knackered and I didn't have the knowledge to notice while i was following the guides to the letter. I'd hate to think how much all the parts have cost too.
How did you get the engine parts so sparkling clean? Did you take the parts somewhere eg the engine block/head to be checked over before you spent the time putting it all back together?kongsodoken wrote:Well when I started thus I had no automotive knowledge, I have never serviced a car never changed the oil and had no tools and no garage, but there are so many good guides on the Internet and loads of helpfull people on here that give good advise it was really quite easy, I still have very limited knowledge but most of the work I do is cleaning painting and repairing.Digi944 wrote:I'd love to do this but I'd guarantee i'll find a car which has a duff engine, spend all the time rebuilding it and find it's knackered and I didn't have the knowledge to notice while i was following the guides to the letter. Yes I've spent ££££££ way more than the cars worth but I've had fun doing it and the car is only going to go up in valve, I could have brought a Cayman but that would be going down in value at some point in the next 5 years I recon I will better off
