Hmm. I'm in hotel near Stafford. Just washed car again having got caught in dust storm at RAF Cosford on way here! Forecast for fair bit of snow tonight. I'm seriously thinking of wimping out rather than having to de-ice tomorrow then drive on salty/sloppy roads to Weston Park tomorrow for more icy showers.

Hi Mate
If there's snow on the ground tomorrow I think you can safely say that nobody will show up anyway so worry not.

Thanks for that Paul. I'm back home now having passed a number of gritting lorries on the M6! S4 tucked up in warm garage with a cocoa <g>.
Will miss Weston unless tomorrow's weather is dramatically different from still snowy/sleet forecast.

Hi
At 0545 hours the weather here was OK.
By 0615 hours the snow was hammering down
Now 0700 hours and the snow is still hammering down
Decision, keep the car in the garage and watch the F1 GP
Better luck next year

Snow on the ground at home and by the look of the sky it ain't finished yet so unfortunately I have to concede.
We will
not be at Weston Park today.

had a lovely day at weston park, altho' cars did get a bit dirty on the way there, chilly out of the sun, and not the best turnout generally, but still one or two nice cars in attendance

Yup, I have to agree with Lindsay - bitterly cold although some warm patches. Cars got quite dirty on the way but nothing a quick brillo-pad down didn't sort out.

I pulled out of today but the forecast is for sun all day tomorrow so I'm half thinking of going tomorrow!
Officially I only ticked Sunday but I'm sure there would be no problem tipping up tomorrow as it sounds like attendance levels were depressed and I think they only use the Sun/Mon thing to know when they're at capacity for each day.
Would miss the company but there are so many nice cars to see and a good trade show. Will decide first thing tomorrow anyway.

I wish I had gone now, but after reading Paul's urgent e-mail, I decided not to. The weather in Brum was fine all day.

Sorry about that - when I posted the email out at about 8am it was white over at home and still falling. Also I had recieved various notes from people saying there were not attending so I called it off.
At 9am I checked my mobile and had received a text from Graham saying he was on route so I rang him and he was at the meet up on the A5! Moreover he was not alone

so I rushed out to keep them company. The weather brightened up quite well although it stayed very cold

Yes even I turned up and looking at the weather today we picked the best day . Sure it was cold when the sun went behind a cloud but overal not bad.Roll on Trentham Gardens .But I will be parking in the right area this time seems the judges only looked at the cars in the alloted juding areas. An MR2 won best in class G as it was the only car parked in there.
