They are 16" rim dials so I am thinking it should be ok???Li Moo Bai wrote:The teledials are unloved generally, but personally I love them. But you would need big balloon tyres for them and tyre choice is very limited. Also you won't find a particularly sporty tyre in the correct size as 15" rims are 'so last millenium'chris1976 wrote:Li Moo Bai wrote:Have you thought about a set of D90s? They look a bit more 'of the period' but fab at the same time and are a 16" rim normally so don't upset the handling too much.
I have a set on my lux and am getting some Toyo Proxes fitted tomorrow so can provide some feedback if it helps?
Adam
Yeah, I am just this minute looking into some Design 90s that Porsche-Part have right now. I am also thinking of Teledials (I like them).

Hmm, now there is a question, I was just going to put them on Ebay with no reserve starting at a pound and see what I got. So I guess make me an offer and we can go from there! Thanks ChrisScho wrote:how much do you want for the RS's?

Boxster alloys come in 16" & 17" sizes depending on the Boxster they came off. Mine are M396 7 X17 fronts (205/50) & 8 X 17 rear (255/40) Tyres are easy. They say the 16's handle better. Mine came with the 17's. Seen a few styles. offset is 40mm front & 50 rear I think! Not checked. Porsche apart will have several sets in stock in including D90's. If your in the North you can go & have a look & see what you like the look of!chris1976 wrote:What are the specification of the boxster alloys you have?

Adam, Toyos should grip like a limpet

Toms selling some cool wheels off his old Turbo on here. Have a look at those.

I am down in London, the dials that porsch-apart have are 7 x 16 and 8 x 16. Will have to see what I can get for the BBS's! Why don't you simply get a 5mm (or even 10mm) thinner spacer then?chris1976 wrote:
and there is a spacer. So...
10" wheels with the matching 285 rubber do fit under 944 arches if you have the spacing just right so with your thin 245 tyres it should be easy if you get the right spacer.
I have 275 tyres under mine on a 9" rim

Yeah sorry, I got it wrong there are no spacers...I think because of the offset they just dont fit on an early model rear suspension and hub set up.PaulSmith wrote:Why don't you simply get a 5mm (or even 10mm) thinner spacer then?chris1976 wrote:

The BBS's are highly sought after on the VW forums.
I've seen them fetch up to £1000.
There are also several sets on ebay most of the time from a guy in Germany who refurbs them.
He charges anything from £650 upwards.

Yup you'll need around 30mm or so, maybe 25mm. Quite a few people sell them Porscheshop, Design 911 & Jasmine for a few. Be warned they won't be cheap!chris1976 wrote:Hi all, I thought I would update you all!

30-40mm on the rear or so I was told.
Can't you get someone to machine the wheels by 5mm or so?
Then you could keep them on. They look much nicer than D90's!
