anybody sussed this out yet ?

awesome! i have just done this to my 87 '44 worked a treat although i did blow a bulb and a fuse in the process

what did you do exactly ?

exactly as the first post says to, unplug the box above the gas pedal, make up 4 8cm connectors, plug in as specified and voila!

i feel a weekend project !!

yeah its a good mod, especially as i will be fitting a turbo bumper in a few days when all the bits arrive!

My 1986 924S has seperate sidelights and the headlights only come up when the headlights are selected, if you turn off the headlamps but leave sidelights on then the pods stay up but they do not come up with sidelights only.

What year is your car ?, did you try that pin out link on yours ? did it work ?


Works on my 87 myr the +12v to the "up" feed on the headlamp mtrs is deleted on sidelamp on by doing this mod. (hope that makes sense)

just done this and it works fine, only puzzle was lights didn't lift on main headlights, until i turned engine on and then bingo, could this have been poprocks problem near the beginning of this post ?

I have a lever arch folder of the electrics at home I'll have a look tonight.

worked perfectly for me. 10 minute job.

Is this an appropriate place to ask how do I keep my headlamps up with the ignition off so I can clean them without worrying about flattening the battery (i.e. no sidelights on)?
