Hi
A few front engined Porsche owners in Cornwall and surrounds are meeting at the Jamaica Inn this Sunday if anyone is interested in joining us. There will be 924s,944s and a 968. Just hoping for a sunny day

911's are welcome, don't want to be accused of being a frontist

It should be a good day and hoping the weather forecast is positive (this is Cornwall though

)

Know it's an old post but wondered if anything has changed? Any more south west members? Don't own a Porsche atm but hoping to change that soon.cheers

I'd be up for a meet when my 944S is mobile again, currently awaiting a replacement driveshaft.
I'd rather it were a bit closer,or in Devon though.

Well I'm still here, but I think that the forum only reaches a small proportion of Porsche owners, many of whom have been here as long as the thread has been running, so they're unlikely to have changed their attitude significantly.
If you want something to happen in the SW, why don't you start the ball rolling and choose a date (several months away and when the weather's likely to be better) and venue and then see if you can get the club to publicise it in the magazine and on the regional section of the website as well as here in the forum - you have more chance of people turning up to a one-off "special" event than a regular monthly meet and then you can see if there's sufficient interest to organise a few more events.

As above, choose a date and then plaster it all over the specialist forums: 911uk, Pistonheads, Boxa.net etc inviting all comers. Facebook is full of odd owner groups and sports car meets - bleat on about your event and there's a good chance someone will turn up.

Hi,
I'd be interested in attending regional meets in the new year. My car has only been on the road for about 6 months this year due to some serious spend on bringing up to scratch.
Live in Central Exeter - so up for any suggestions re a better geographical meet point.
Can we find out how many members in D&C and where they are spread? We could go out with some suggestions as to venues and see if that drums up more support?
