Southern Region Breakfast at Compton Abbas Airfield

Post by Andrew »

Early Sunday morning Southern Region members gathered at Ringwood for a drive out to the Compton Abbas Airfield - with a very good turnout of well over 20 people we set off for the airfield for what was a great breakfast meal in typical Southern Region terrific company and a little bit of fun driving Zig Zag hill to boot.

Yes it was a good run, very good breakfast at the airfield cafe as usual, and an excellent turnout, with a good mixture of cars. Shame that the road conditions after the winter made zig-zag too rough to give it a real go, don't know if we would have any suspension left :(

yep weather was fine, but roads were in very poor condition, and a lot of $hit washed out over the road , so top was very loose, just the job to hang out the stern on a blind hairpin with a transient merchant in a transit tipper coming down the hill
