I reckon the NW region will have 8 'representatives' at Scunthorpe Premier Inn on the Friday, plus one or two spectators / snappers / tour operators appearing on Saturday if all goes to plan.

Are there any specifics on clothing for the driver or preparation for the car? Anything in addition to a crash helmet and clothing covering the arms and legs?

Can't find anything on the Blyton Track website..

Might need a Towing eye, just in case. Sunglasses hopefully.
Check the obvious, all fluids, Condition of tyres & pressures (& Torque!)
(I got my helmet from Aldi £29.99 just for info.)
Plenty of water to drink, wont need much food as the excitement keeps the hunger at bay
Enjoy it.

Aside from the obvious brain bin ('elmet) most want covered arms & legs, no T shirts or shorts. Wear trainers or similar with a thin sole & no welt. Make sure there is nothing loose in the car! Sounds obvious but something hurtling around the car is distracting aside from anything else!
Towing eye screwed in the front, it is a LH thread & if it hasn't been used will need some grease, may even need a wire brush to get the rust off. Take a decent tyre pressure gauge & pump. Your pressures will go off the scale when they get hot & will need adjusting. Take some spare oil & coolant, thrashing around the track will use oil.

Wondered if, as we're spectating Porsche-less, someone might spin us 'round the track as never been to a track day before (course we'd pay fee etc.)? - just a thought.

No problem, I'm more than happy to take you for a spin, give me a shout when you get there (07885 274113). You will need a wristband though (they check driver and passenger before you go onto track), so you may need to get there at sign on (08.00 - 09.00). Not sure if anyone can supply any further details on the sign on process.

Previous - 997 GTS with aerokit, aqua/black, PDK - Fantastic car would recommend.
997 C2S with aerokit, basalt/black, manual - Good car with great feel. More authentic than the GTS (PDK) but less capable.

I'll give you a few laps - if you're happy to trust a disabled driver in a tiptronic ;-)

So Petrol wise, looks like Tesco or Morrisons, unless anyone can suggest a nearer Shell station?
