Hello guys,
I'm new to the club so thought i'd just show face.
I've owned an air cooled 911 previously and now have a 928Gt 1990 Baltic Blue manual, got it 3yrs back.
The car is great, luv driving it now it finally back on the road, it had been laid up for 6yrs in a heated garage previously and took a wee bit of fettling....it's still a rolling project.
I suppose i'm located quite out of the way being up in Aberdeenshire in sunny...?... Scotland, wondered if there was anybody local to the area?
Bruce.
PS, anybody know of a supplier of front fog light lenses, drivers side.....manager to pick up a stone crack the other day...

Talk about a slumbering giant Bruce!

There are some very keen 928 owners in your region so may well be some around Aberdeenshire.

But there are always people to help you on this forum so just post any questions, and as Andrew recommends join the 928.org.uk list which is very active and has some real 928 gurus on it

Check whether the non-running fan motor ok by connecting 12V from jump post (front rhs of engine bay, should be protected by blue screw on knob).

If motor does run then suspect the fan final stage (power transistors in black finned module on RHS slam panel)

Hi and welcome. :hello2:

I've had an email from Simon mentioning your name, I guess you know that as you were copied in. I'll see if Jason is organising anything and get you copied in. I think there are 928's near Aberdeen? 928uk mailing list and locator will give more info'. :D

Cheers for the comments guys, Simon was extra helpful, he's sending a lens up today!!
I'll get the fan checked out, don't want to cook the thing......there are a few wee niggley electrical things on the go, the louvred grill that helps get the engine warm then opens started cycling......then was ok for a while then even with the key out of the ignition it kept opening and closing, i took out the fuse and opened the louvres up to keep the air flow getting thru, i was suspecting the relay for that but it's very tight to get out of the board, kinda left that for now but will get back to it.

It must be a female thing right enough.....
