I have a Wii and a Xbox 360. Out of the 2 i play the Xbox loads more than the Wii as the games are better, graphics better, online gaming better etc etc.

However the Wii does have a place and for family fun it wins hands down i.e bowling, baseball, quiz games etc. Mariokart is out next week on the Wii which should be good.

It's all according what you want out of a console, if it's serious gaming then the xbox 360 or PS3, if it's a bit of fun for all then the Wii.

Oh yeah if you do get a Wii make sure you wear the wrist strap as nasty things will happen if you let go. Check this website out for proof of damages......

Hope that was of some use for you.

Spencer

Just close the curtains if using it in the lounge.
From outside it can look as if you're home alone watching one of your DVD's that you think your kids don't know about

Spencer’s covered it, I think.

If you’re the kind of person who is perfectly happy playing videogames on your own or with one other person, then the Wii is not your best bet. The Xbox 360 or PS3 are better machines with better games available. If you already consider yourself a gamer, stick with those. On the other hand, if you’re just thinking it might be a laugh, or if you reckon your family and friends will join in for silly nights in front of the telly playing virtual bowling … buy a Wii, right now.

The Wii is fantastic with three or more people. It’s rubbish on your own. It’s for party games and nothing else, but it is brilliant at those party games.

We had a bowling night using Wii as entertainment for club night. Garyw provided a very large screen for us and it was a lot of fun :D

Wii is a great console for party games, or for those gamers who 'get' what Nintendo are all about. If you have never played or liked Nintendo games then now may not be a good time to start - if you like games about driving, shooting, or driving and shooting then the Wii is not for you. If you're new to gaming or want something a little different then the Wii is a great value purchase. There are some adult themed games, but many of the titles have a wide appeal. I challenge anyone not to enjoy Super Mario Galaxy.

Good luck

Dr Eggman
