Enjoyed the visit immensely - a real eye opener and now another job to add to the list of things I want to do with both cars

Brian did all the organisation on this one so deserves all the thanks

his talks are always good...

its amazing how much \ what you can acheive with good geo... but the mark of a good geo engineer is one who can interpret what you want from your car, into the numbers he needs to set your car up to...

Fantastic afternoon - time just flew. Chris really brings his subject alive and it's always a treat to see someone who is so passionate about their job and so good at it.

Saving up more for the 928 maintenance budget now so that I can take her to Chris soon!

Thanks for organising Brian.

Hi

Pleased to hear you enjoyed the afternoon.

I was particularly impressed by Chris's use of worn tyres to help explain and distinguish between the different factors affecting the driving of cars, coupled with his use of a radio controlled model to explain corner balancing and the effect that has on the driving performance of tyres and the car

It was also good to see him use the different varaiants of a Porsche to demonstrate and explain the differing types of suspension in such cars

As you know from the current edition of All Torque (page 6) Chris will be providing his expertise at Bruntingthorpe

See you there

Brian

What a brilliant event, well organised by Brian & Paul. A very big thank you to all and in particular Chris and his wife - I learnt so much and Chris presented and explained in such a way that simplified a complicated subject, making it much easier to understand.

Chris will be my first port of call in the future for all wheel alignment and suspension issues.

As a relative 'newbie' to Tipec, it was nice to meet fellow members and their nice Porsche's too.

Hi Pal

Brian took a few pics but I didn't take a camera along :banghead: Chris did say he would offer Tipec members 10% off but I'm sure Brian will confirm. Very different set up to BMTR who are (first and foremost) a tyre supplier.

If I wanted a set of tyres - supplied and fitted to the highest standard I would go to BMTR
If I wanted Geometry set up I would go to Center Gravity.

Hopefully reports on both visits will be in a future edition of AT :D

didn't actually do any adjustments, just advised on what needed doing, all in all about £170 to have all settings adjusted back to factory spec, thats front and rear camber, castor, toe etc

£170!!! That's a bit on the steep side ain't it? Porscheshop did mine for just £75 plus v.a.t.

How can they justify a price like £170? (Is that with a club discount too?) :tongue9:

What set up do they have ? is it the Bessibarth aligning set up, Chris's knowledge and experience are what you would be paying out for. He really know's the subject inside out .
