Hi Mark,

Seem to recall from Tilford tht yours was an aftermarket handle?

If I'm wrong and it was standard then it can only pull off if the locating holes at base are cracked. With the rubber bellow pulled down the handle fixes to selector lever with a machine screw at each side (M4 or M6 and only a few mm long).

Handles come up on eBay occasionally. I got hold of new one that way but sold old one same way.

Or ask Simon Watson via 928uk list if he has one - he is breaking a couple of 928s.

Cheers

Adrian

I can't see anything to say that it would fit 928, unless there's a standard fit for these things or I've missed something!

Hi Mark :)

That is the black version of mine....

It comes with a "fitting kit" which is basically a plastic collar thing and a couple of grub screws, but I would ask if its been fitted to a 928 first before you bid...

This link is to one that DOES fit a 928... >>> http://www.928gt.com/ps-1997-26-auto-sh ... -momo.aspx

All the best Brett :)

I had the same problem with my gear knob, both the screw mountings had broken.

They do appear on ebay but as usual nothing came up when I wanted one, and I ended up buying from my local Porsche dealer.

If you buy second hand you have to be sure it's not cracked at the mountings, as this is common.

I seem to recall it cost an extortionate £150 from Porsche, and was only available in black.....but I was well off in those days.

It does work and looks amazing
